Instant Impact

We all know that what we do and what we say has an impact on everything around us, right? If it sounds like an awesome responsibility, it’s because it is. And it doesn’t just stop with our own immediate actions, it filters down to things like how we raise our children, the company we choose to keep, and the companies we do business with. Though oftentimes, our actions are more reactions to the past, or to future fears than to what is currently happening before us.

We all have baggage that we cart around, and as this week’s focus states, the more we practice staying present with what’s really going on, the less that baggage gets in the way. It’s all about personal responsibility and the ability to move from an "all about me" to a "we are one" point of view. You know, that thing called maturity that hopefully happens to us all at some point in our lives.

So, this week’s homework includes taking a deep breath and focusing on what’s presently happening in your life. Just for a moment, let go of yesterday and stop worrying about tomorrow. Ahhhh…nice.

With Love.

Allow yourself to step fully into the present. Take each moment of time to expand awareness of your impact on the world. Let this guide you to serve as a source of light.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

This week’s question:
Q: How does being present help us to be more aware of our impact on the world?

A. To be present is to be conscious of what occurs at each moment of time. It is to understand the current situation as it is, without coloring perceptions with the past. In being present with each moment, there is a letting go of the conditioning of the past and of the desires or fears of the future. This clears the mind to react more truthfully with the given situation. This clearer mind gives greater understanding of the impact of actions and words in the present moment. In this, the individual takes responsibility for these actions and words. Understanding the effect each individual has on one another breeds compassion, and creates a less self-focused view of the world. This is a more evolved way of being.

I Was Just Thinking...

Sometimes I find it pretty funny they way information comes through from the world of Spirit. Oftentimes messages come to me as images that symbolize what they’re trying to convey. Just like last week, for this week’s message they most definitely used analogy to get their point across. It’s all about thoughts (seeds) in our head (a garden) and why it’s important to notice which thoughts we focus on (tending the garden).

When it first started to come through my tired brain was like, “What in the holy moly are they talking about?” And then I let it unfold and it made perfect sense. It’s actually quite a beautiful visualization. And so it is when communing with the otherworldly, keeping an open mind is very important in deciphering information.

I’m also slightly changing (again) the setup of my posts. It came clear to me that these messages aren’t so much a weekly forecast, but instead a topic of focus. It wasn’t lost on me that I realized this on the week where the message is all about focus. Ah yeah…

May your seeds be plentiful and your garden lovely.

With Love.

Thoughts are the seeds from which form is created. Notice which thoughts are most prevalent. Tend those that provide nourishment and support. Weed out those that do not.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

This week's question:
Q: We all have a gazillion thoughts running through our heads at any given moment. How do we “weed” through those that aren’t helpful or supportive?

A. Tend and water only those that you wish to thrive. Like vegetation that proliferates through reseeding, if an area of land if left unattended it will be overtaken by those plants that are indigenous and have adapted to environmental conditions. And this so represents the environment of the mind. The seeds of cultural conditioning create the foundation for which plants take hold and propagate in the garden.

To know of one’s experiences and those lessons brought forth to them through those experiences is to understand the environmental conditions from which their garden grows. Some have been given nutrient-rich soil and plenty of sunshine, others given an arid or hostile environment without components necessary for vegetation to thrive. No matter which environmental condition one has built their foundation, each of you hold within you the seeds from which a new garden can grow. With proper care and nourishment even the harshest of climates may be taught to sustain life.

It is through choice that one can choose to remain in the inhospitable environment, or create a peaceful oasis. It is through nurturing and focusing on those thoughts that sustain life-giving happiness and releasing focus on those that do not that gives one the ability to thrive. And as with any garden, constant attention will keep the intrusive weeds from proliferating, and will support one with the space to enjoy the view.

Open Aaaaall the Windows

This week is all about perspective, or rather, being open-minded enough to enlighten your perspective. Receiving information and gathering knowledge is an import part of our maturation process, though it’s through broadening the channels from where it’s distributed that can open a person up to greater tolerance of others and a stronger sense of culpability in how our actions may affect others.

It reminds me of a few decades back when I first started working in San Francisco. Keep in mind that this was way before “googling it” would have any meaning other than something potentially dirty. We weren’t anywhere near being a global community back then, and that concept wasn’t yet in the general mindset. Up to that point I had been pretty sequestered in what felt to me a little bland box of suburbia. Not to disrespect anyone and where they choose to live – I know a lot of people who live in the area still and love it – but as one who always felt out of step with that particular culture, it was constricting. Getting into a more metropolitan environment subjected me to a much wider array of cultures than I had ever experienced before. It opened my eyes in a way that made me not view differences as “weird”, but just as differences. And in doing so, I eventually found my place in the world.

I’ve also learned that no matter who you are, there’s always room to enlighten that perspective a little more. And that it’s those that feel they have all of the answers that are the ones that usually need to open a few more windows to get a better view.

With Love.

From Over There: 7.13.14 Weekly Forecast
You have a room that houses your soul. This room is your physical being. This room has many windows for which to view the physical world around you. It is time to open the windows to all possibility, to broaden perspective, and to allow a more fruitful way of being.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Featured Question:
Q: Knowing that the windows represent a form of knowledge, is it ever a beneficial thing to keep a window closed? For instance, what if opening a particular window creates fear when the individual isn’t emotionally ready to receive the information?

A. The only way to growth is through awareness. This awareness may initially bring emotional discomfort, but it is in the acknowledgement and desire for deeper understanding of the lessons that awareness brings that which will move the individual through the pain and on to a more evolved perspective. To purposely avoid the opening to greater awareness is to stunt the growth and life process of an individual.

Hold Your Balance

I know for myself and others that we can question why certain things happen in life. Sometimes it seems so unfair. The thing I find interesting is in watching how different people cope. I have friends who have experienced tremendous loss, yet have found the grace to be thankful for everything that comes their way. The end result being a happy life, in spite of it all. And I’ve also witnessed those who wallow in it and play victim. Not exactly the foundation for creating a very happy or fulfilling life. And then there are most of us, who meet life challenges with varying levels of grace, depending on what else is currently going on in the picture.

As this week’s forecast states, it’s all about finding balance so you have the tools to deal with whatever life presents. Without doing so you run the risk of getting stuck in the muck and pain. On the flip side, if you try to ignore the issue it sets up the potential for creating the same thing over and over again until you get the lesson. Please know that I’m not in any way putting the blame on anyone for some of the traumatic things that have happened in their lives, it’s just in how we deal with the trauma that sets the stage for a more inwardly peaceful existence. And if you had a traumatic childhood, there’s no better time than adulthood to address it.

Wishing you the most balanced of scales.

With Love.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

From Over There: 7.6.14 Weekly Forecast
Continue to shed the heaviness by pursuing activities which evoke a sense of lightness. Spend time in the rays of the sun, connect with beings that bring joy to your heart. Pursue activities that create a peaceful state of mind. Doing so forms a greater foundation of balance with the dark and the light. This balance allows for lessons of life to present themselves, and the greater capability to evolve through the process.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Featured Question:
Q: Please speak more on the balancing of dark and light.

A. What is perceived by human consciousness as the dark are those experiences that bring about a sense of chaos, discomfort or pain. The acts perpetrated and perceived as acts of darkness are done so as a reaction to one who has been unable to process through the lessons that life has presented them. This is due to the individual who lacks capacity to process through the perceived trauma. This creates a fractured awareness and may produce an individual who is unable to hold a sense of accountability for their acts. It is through balancing the dark with the light and the ability to consciously process the lesson that one is able to retain a wholeness of self, and in doing so, supports the wholeness of others. Those who are experiencing a fractured sense of self will find comfort in balancing the light to bring energetic scales back to a state of equilibrium. To find balance is to be better equipped to allow the lessons that the dark can bring. It is to be able to move through and on to a lightness of being. It is important to remember that without the dark there is no light, and without the light there is no dark. Each present to form balance, allowing the potential for the individual to evolve. When balance is off-scale it can create a sense of hopelessness, a lack of understanding, or denial of responsibility. When one finds greater balance then one moves more easily through perceived challenges and gains an awareness of higher life choices.
